The Baltic coast of Western Pomerania is characterized by islands. And somehow each one is different!

The Baltic coast of Western Pomerania is characterized by islands. And somehow each one is different!

Fischland-Darß-Zingst

Hiking enthusiasts are very welcome on the peninsula. Thanks to the asphalted dike path, the Pramort dike trail is also an experience for guests with limited mobility. In the local tourist information and spa administrations you can find out the condition of the beach access and whether a beach or bathing wheelchair is offered. Our video in German sign language reveals secrets from the special light to the cranes.

Germany's largest island Rügen

Everyone will find their favorite spot here. The piers in Binz and Sellin can also be explored by wheelchair users. Want a view of the island from above? The Naturerbe-Zentrum Rügen offers a barrier-free tree top walk - interesting facts about flora and fauna as well as a real view are included!

What can be experienced on Germany's largest island can be seen in our video in German sign language.

Sunny island Usedom

Many beaches are accessible for people with mobility disabilities via paved accesses. Ask at the local tourist information and spa administrations whether there is even a beach or bathing wheelchair. The best way to travel on the island is with the Usedomer Bäderbahn. The beneficial stimulating climate, a unique combination of sea and forest air, characterizes the coastal forest as a natural remedy, and is best enjoyed in Europe's 1st spa and healing forest.
