Whether by canoe on rivers and lakes or by kayak on the Baltic Sea. These tours promise special experiences for beginners and advanced. Experienced sea kayak fans can explore the Baltic Sea coast on their own or take part in guided tours.
Attention Canoeists!
26,000 kilometers of waterways in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern are waiting to be explored. From the Baltic Sea and Bodden coast to island tours, from the Mecklenburg Lake District with its 2,000 lakes to the extensive river network, the largest water sports area in Europe - there is something for everyone.
Quiet and relaxed paddling, just for a day or a weekend or as a multi-day tour. You can do it on your own or organized as a guided tour. Above all, it should be fun: On the Peene and its lakes, it is possible to enjoy nature in a relaxed way without significant currents, locks and differences in altitude. If you look very closely, the water also glistens a little proudly because of its EDEN award ("European Destinations of Excellence"). On the amorously christened "Amazon of the North" you will hardly meet a soul - but you will see sea eagles, kingfishers, herons and beavers. Adventure-seekers can experience a little more action-packed water travel on the Warnow. But also the Mildenitz, Trebel, Elbe and Elde, Tollense and Uecker and last but not least the Recknitz bring you into the boat for great outdoor water fun.
With the Sea Kayak on the Baltic Sea and Bodden
And it doesn't always have to be inland. Experienced sea kayakers will find exciting areas with rough, energetic waters around Rügen, Stralsund or on the Greifswalder Bodden. The peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst offers a special perspective. Tens of thousands of cranes gather here in autumn before heading south. Quietly in harmony with nature, you can paddle away under the birds' flight and marvel.
