Monuments and Sights

The second tour to the world with a very beautiful reception hall designed in the 1930s by the artist Erich Kliefert.

Stralsund's main train station was opened in 1863. But the brick building was not built until 1903 and inaugurated in 1905. The imposing painting, which shows Stralsund and the Island of Rügen in large-scale depictions from a bird's eye view, was only made in the 1930s by Stralsund artist Erich Kliefert in the reception hall. with. In the 1990s, the station building was renovated and welcomed rail passengers to the Hanseatic City of Stralsund. In the course of the renovation, the area between the platform and the station building was also provided with a modern glass roof.
At the station you will find lockers for luggage storage, stores for travel needs, a cab stand, short-term parking, bicycle parking, connection to public transport and of course public toilets.
