Surf spots

Directly on the water there is a large parking lot and surf schools that provide you with brand new rental equipment, tasty drinks and snacks during the season. So everything you need for a chilled surf day is there. Best sideshore conditions bring you wind from southwest or northwest.

With an average water depth of two meters, the Saaler Bodden is one of the largest shallow water areas in Germany. Parking is possible for a small fee both with the car and with the camper directly on the water. This eliminates the hassle of towing and allows you to concentrate on the essentials. The relaxed atmosphere on site attracts many water sports enthusiasts every season and so it can be quite crowded on good wind days. Therefore, you should always keep a safe distance and be considerate of the kite and windsurfing students. For beginners, there are windsurfing and kitesurfing schools that will get you safely on the board and from which you can borrow equipment. The spot is suitable for wind directions from SW to NW.

Facilities:

  • Toilets, waste disposal (Dixies)
  • Offer of the surf school - instruction windsurfing, kiting, SUP
  • Parking facilities < 50 m far away, fee required

Detailed information about the spot Saal can be found on the linked website of www.surflocal.de. There you can also find 3D panoramic photos of the spot, make contact with the locals or arrange to surf together with friends.
