Enjoy yourself on our spacious farm in a quiet village location with a large garden. Everyone will find his place - at the natural pond - on the playground - or on the horse pasture. You can relax in comfortable and individually furnished vacation apartments for 2 to 10 people. The Birkenhof is an ideal starting point for cycling and hiking tours into the Biosphere Reserve Schaalsee. We look forward to seeing you!

On our farm you can spend your vacation with the whole family. The spacious farm area invites you to relax, play and linger. Our garden offers a wonderful lawn for sunbathing and a barbecue area. Children's hearts beat faster when trying out the "Robinia" play tower. Bicycles, go-karts and table tennis invite you to exercise. Explore the idyll of the Biosphere Reserve Schaalsee with the bikes. And if you want to fish, you are welcome to do so at the fishing spot 50 meters away. As it should be for a real farm, we also have animals. Our fjord horses are looking forward to you and your children.

In our red brick farmhouse from 1904 we have lovingly furnished the "Dielen-Ferienwohnung" with up to ten sleeping possibilities. Generous space is offered by the three bedrooms. Enjoy the enchanting atmosphere in our 90 m² half-timbered living room. Two bathrooms with shower and toilet as well as a fully equipped kitchen leave nothing to be desired. Our "Bullerjan" wood stove provides warmth and coziness.

The Schaalsee-Camp is located between the Schaalsee and the Salemer See. Campfire sites, covered wagons and teepees to spend the night make the charm of this place (no permanent campers). Guests in caravans, mobile homes or tents are of course welcome. From the canoe or bicycle you can explore the slightly hilly landscape.

The Renaissance castle from 1573 is especially known for the detailed terracotta decorations on the facade. Currently, the 16th century building is undergoing extensive renovation. The castle can be visited on guided tours during events such as the Open Monument Day.

The café-garden of the inn premises has always been the chocolate side of the property. Probably nowhere else can you see the Schaalsee better, understand it better, than from the hill in the immediate vicinity of the St. Abundus Church of Lassahn.

The former Cistercian nunnery "Himmelspforte" is located on the southern shore of the Schaalsee. The monastery complex, which is well worth seeing, can be visited. There is an exhibition on the history, as well as guided tours and audio guides.

The former inner-German border strip, the "Green Belt", is virtually predestined to be further enhanced by the creation of new forest areas. So it was only logical to add another climate forest to the existing ones in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from summer 2010. The first planting campaign took place in April 2011. The total area consists of three parcels of land, two of which were reforested as part of the planting campaign with the Schwerin energy supplier WEMAG.
