On the Mecklenburg Lake District Pilgrimage Trail you can enjoy nature, get out of familiar everyday paths and gain new experiences. The unique density of old churches allows for contemplation, reflection and prayer in most villages. Clear lakes, hilly landscapes with meadows or beech forests, animals that have become rare such as osprey and kingfisher teach you to marvel at God's creation.

From there, the trail leads south to Neubrandenburg, on a western or eastern route around Lake Tollense, and ends in Mirow south of the Müritz. The stages are each about 13 to 20 kilometers long. Pilgrims can stay overnight in simple parsonages or private accommodations along the route. A list of accommodations and further information can be found on the pilgrimage trail website or at the Mecklenburg Lake District Tourist Board .
