Rambow - maritime ? What is maritime? Atlases, globes, ships in bottles, ship models and stamps with ships - our exhibition is not everything, but a selection. Our exhibition is intended to arouse interest in more, in lakes and the sea.
In a small exhibition in the "Pfundgrube Gutshaus Rambow" we would like to arouse interest in an old trade of mankind, seafaring. There have been sailing ships for 4000 years and ship models for just as long. We are showing 27 sailing ship models from this period. This is the oldest type of ship in the history of mankind. As a counterpart, we present the most recent boat developments of mankind, the submarines - 16 in sizes from 1.5 meters to 20 cm - and three aircraft carriers. With 26 ships currently in service, this type of boat is the rarest on the seas. Atlases and nautical charts are also part of maritime history; we have examples from the first atlas to the year 2020. We also show 80 globes, from 2 cm to 45 cm. We document the completely atypical development of the monastic "Eingericht" into a ship in a bottle with exhibits from the last 300 years. We hope that our exhibition will not only attract and inspire sea dogs, but also landlubbers.
Attract them to Rambow Hof 2, 17194 Moltzow.
Advance booking is required as we do not have regular opening hours.
