Organ music and organ tour in July & August every Wednesday, 1 pm in the Neustrelitz town church
In July and August, the Grüneberg organ in the Neustrelitz town church plays organ music for 30 minutesevery Wednesday at 1 pm.
The organ, built in 1893 by the Szczecin organ builder Barnim Grüneberg, is considered one of the most important romantic instruments in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Its colorful sound unfolds in alternating works from different eras - played by cantor Lukas Storch
After the music, there will be an opportunity to experience the organ up close. During the guided tour in the gallery, insights will be given into the construction, history and functioning of the instrument - a rare opportunity to get to know the large instrument behind the scenes - from the keys to the pipes.
Admission is free, but donations for the upcoming restoration and preservation of the organ are requested.
