Since opening in 2016, the sculpture park has become a popular and much-visited art and cultural venue in the Mecklenburg Lake District.
Having grown through its programs and changing exhibitions, visitors can once again see a variety of works by international artists this year.
A special feature is the Gabarron Museum's sculpture trail with the two colorful sculpture groups "Siega Verde" and "Tao Circle", which leads visitors across three hectares of the grounds to the White Lake. Corresponding to this is the painting exhibition "Assymetries" in the gallery building. Cristobal Gabarron is known worldwide for his work for the UN (United Nations) in New York, his international projects for peace and his museum in Murcia, Spain (https://museum.gabarron.org).
Works by Armenian artist Gevorg Tadevosyan greet visitors at the entrance to the exhibition building, as well as on the circular route of the green sculpture trail through the wooded area of the sculpture park. New are the "Jesus Tables" by German artist Wulfried Hengstenberg on the "Pilgrims' Square" in the middle of the building.
Visitors to the Wesenberg Sculpture Park are advised to bring enough time with them to encounter the impressive and diverse artists and art treasures. Interesting aspects of artistic creation are shown in video installations. There is also a small bookshop with catalogs.
