In the Mecklenburg Lake District not far from Plau am See lies the Barkow manor house built in 1913 by the Hülße family. The large garden borders directly on the Müritz-Elde waterway. The house was completely renovated in recent years and furnished as a guesthouse with eight apartments, two single rooms and ten double rooms. The Barkow Manor rents out canoes and bicycles.

The Barkow Manor House, formerly the center of an agricultural estate, is now open for guests as a hotel garni.

Location: west of Lake Plau in the region "Mecklenburg Lake District". The Mecklenburg landscape, characterized by wide fields, natural lakes and forests invites you to explore.

During a hike on foot, by bike or from the water with a canoe, nature experience and active recreation is waiting for you. With a good book and a glass of wine you will also find a place to relax in the garden behind the manor house and get away from it all.

The house was built in 1913 by the Hülße family and has been owned by the fourth generation of the family since 1992. The spacious garden borders directly on the Müritz-Elde waterway, which flows through western Mecklenburg and flows into the Elbe in Dömitz. After the careful renovation of the manor house, Gutshaus Barkow offers you stylishly furnished rooms and apartments with shower/WC, telephone, hairdryer and TV. The apartments are each equipped with a kitchenette.

Canoe and bicycle rental is available.

For children, the manor house offers a natural playground and plenty of space to romp, also the neighboring sports - and football field of the municipality can be used. In about 200 m distance there is a country inn. You can quickly reach Plau and Lübz, the neighboring small towns east and west of Barkow.
