Great water hiking rest area with space for boats, tents and RVs located directly in the forest. SUP, canoe and bike rental and small gastronomy.

The Kuppentin waterway rest area or Naturcamping & Hafen Bermudadreieck is idyllically located in the forest on the Elde-Müritz waterway. Here overnight guests by boat, canoe, bicycle, tent and camper are welcome. The site has boat moorings, a tent site, living and caravan sites, as well as the possibility to rent a family or tipi tent.

There is additionally a small cozy harbor bar as well as rental of bicycles, canoes and SUPs. The harbor bar offers a small selection of food and drinks. It is open for you from May to September from 3 pm to 9 pm (in the main season June to the end of August already from 11:30 am). At the harbor bar you can also use the bread service and start your morning with freshly baked bread!

Come to rest in the clearing of the waterway resting place and listen to the rustling of the leaves in the wind!

Barkow manor house

In the Mecklenburg Lake District not far from Plau am See lies the Barkow manor house built in 1913 by the Hülße family. The large garden borders directly on the Müritz-Elde waterway. The house was completely renovated in recent years and furnished as a guesthouse with eight apartments, two single rooms and ten double rooms. The Barkow Manor rents out canoes and bicycles.

Dobbertin Abbey and church

The abbey of Dobbertin, on the eastern shore of the lake of the same name, is one of the most beautiful surviving monasteries in northern Germany. It was founded by Benedictine monks in 1220. Today, the abbey is managed by the Diakoniewerk, which looks after and supports people with mental and emotional disabilities. The workshop sells, among other things, candles and wooden articles.
