On the edge of the cooling with a view of the Baltic Sea and Kühlungsborn is the studio house of the family Rösler-Kröhnke.
The Atelierhaus Rösler-Kröhnke shows tapestries, collages and objects by Anka Kröhnke. She "creates images that directly express her delight in color and in the unconventional processing of materials. In each work, technique, form and color form an inseparable, aesthetically interrelated unit. Extremely keen on innovation and experimentation, Anka Kröhnke has for decades held an unmistakable position, always at the cutting edge of the times, without negating the craft traditions of her profession. ... In her work, they are combined with a discipline of craftsmanship, a formal certainty and an ideal potential, as is the case with great art in general," according to art historian Gesa Bartolomeyczik.
Visitors to this show of works will experience a fascinating and ever-surprising variety of color, form and material from six decades of this extraordinary artist.
