The art association Roter Pavillon Bad Doberan e. V. promotes art and artists through exhibitions in its gallery of the same name.
Many expositions of contemporary art have been shown since the existence of the Red Pavilion as a gallery. The non-profit art association Roter Pavillon Bad Doberan e. V. as operator continues this tradition.
The exhibitions in the Red Pavilion enrich the discussion about contemporary art and create an access for the visitor. The art debate of recent years is increasingly turning back to relevant questions for human life with social, political and spiritual references. The Kunstverein refers to this and develops exhibitions, it also promotes current art in the region, whether with exhibitions in its gallery or through mediation to other cultural institutions.
With its octagonal shape, the pavilion is particularly suitable for spatial installations and conceptual works. However, classical visual arts such as painting and sculpture are also given their space here.
