Foray Through the World of Animals

Whether bear forest, elephant farm, wildlife park Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, crane information center, Ozeaneum or a visit to the Rostock Zoo with Darwineum and Polarium - impressive nature experiences and animal encounters await families throughout the country. Bright children's eyes are guaranteed at these destinations.

Animal parks, petting and game enclosures, bird and butterfly parks, aquariums - the fascinating animal world of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can be observed very closely in the numerous zoological gardens and nature experience sites between the Baltic Sea and the Lake District . There is even a monkey forest in the Mecklenburg Lake District. And the exciting thing - many attractions offer guided tours, active trails as well as knowledge, experimentation and experience stations. Here, children can recreate the movements of the animal inhabitants and, for example, balance like a flamingo, sneak like a big cat or climb like a monkey. Highlights also include show feedings, where animal keepers even answer a curious question or two. Join the little ones on a foray through the world of animals.
