In the workshop with Dr. Katrin Staude, young and old can experience for themselves how fire was made in the Stone Age and other eras and how flint tools such as knives, arrowheads etc. were made (register by the day before: 0157-72731751).
In this workshop, adults and children will learn from archaeologist Dr. Katrin Staude how life went on thousands of years ago and how difficult it sometimes was in the Stone Age. The workshop is suitable for anyone who not only wants to listen, but also wants to try out for themselves how to make a flint tool, e.g. an arrowhead, a knife or a scraper, or how to make fire with a tinder sponge, flint and pyrite. Various striking techniques, materials for making fire and tools that were used in prehistoric times are explained and demonstrated. Real axes, hatchets, knives, arrowheads or scrapers and scrapers are presented in the original to "understand" history.
The artifacts you make yourself can be taken home with you
