Modest Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition, Elisaveta Ilina (piano) & Sönke Schreiber (percussion)
The duo Farbton combines instruments and creates timbres that are unique to see and hear. Innovative chamber music emerges from a classical background when piano, marimba and percussion merge together. Creative and impulsive - rhythm, sound and emotions are immersed in a tremendous dynamic range of new colors.
Two well-tempered instruments meet and enter into an exciting relationship: warm, earthy clouds of sound from the marimba paired with clear, precise strokes from the piano. This creates a variety of color nuances and allows the listener to experience what they hear in a new way: sonorous images, rousing, rhythmically pulsating, then again floating and full of emptiness - new paths in chamber music.

The "SOUNDbeat" program with works by George Gershwin, Rodion Schtschedrin, Evelyn Glennie, Joe Hisaishi and many others offers powerful and emotional music that leaves the audience sitting on the edge of their seats and at the same time goes straight to the heart. Original compositions and their own arrangements of minimal music, new classical music and film music present the rhythmic and vocal sides of the instruments and define the sound of the evening, while introspective improvisations and explosive motifs tastefully link the works performed. Electronics add an individual touch and round off the program.
