Over 30 years of the "Plau Bathtub Rally" - great boats, lots of fun, fantastic atmosphere on the water and on land - be there when the daring water vehicles present themselves. The Plau Carnival - better known as the BADEWANNENRALLYE - will continue to provide plenty of fun and excitement in Plau am See in 2025.

As part of the Müritz-Elde waterway, the Elde leaves the 39 km² Lake Plau in Plau am See in the direction of the Elbe. And that's a good thing. This is the only reason why the climatic health resort had one of the most beautiful bathtub rally routes in the middle of the town.
Munich has its Oktoberfest, Leipzig has its trade fair and Cologne has its carnival. So in 1989, a group of like-minded residents had the glorious idea during a leisurely beer round on the Elde that something similar could be created in Plau am See due to its excellent location and the flow of the Elde through the town - a bathtub rally on the Elde.

The event was founded under the motto: "With algae in our shoes and bog in our ears, we'll stay afloat from the bridge to the lock gate."
Be inspired by creative and colorful watercraft.
