Arvid Gast, Professor of Artistic Organ Playing in Lübeck, will play works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Max Reger and Julius Reubke on September 3, 2025 at 7:00 pm. Admission 10,00 € Reduced 7,00 €
In addition to his professorship at the Lübeck University of Music, Avid Gast has a busy concert schedule far beyond Europe. His collaboration with the trumpeter Joachim Pliquett, with whom he has performed for over 20 years, deserves special mention.
An exciting musical program with works by Bach, Reger and Reubke can be expected:
Johann Sebastian Bach's pieces on the Buchholz organ are always a delight.
Max Reger's music is often highly technical. He himself said: "My organ pieces are difficult. It requires a witty player who is in command of the technique."
Julius Reubke, who came from a family of organ builders, wrote a monothematic organ sonata "The 94th Psalm", which is considered to be the most important organ composition of the 19th century. Unfortunately, he was only 25 years old.
Arvid Gast meets the composer's challenges and delights the audience.
