Summer concert of the choir of the main church St. Michaelis Hamburg.

Trust, hope, joy

"The essence of music is to give joy" said the Greek philosopher Aristotle. Music in church not only gives us joy, but we - both the musicians and the listeners - can participate in the glory of God through music.
Sometimes things happen in our lives that we can neither understand nor control. As a result, we lose sight and focus on God from time to time. But because God trusts us infinitely, we can rely on Him. And the other name for trust is "hope". Only in God do we find true comfort and hope, only in God do we feel pure joy.

Welcome to the summer concert of the choir of the main church of St. Michaelis Hamburg. With singing and instrumental music, we want to experience trust, hope and joy together with you! Or in the words of J.S. Bach: Jesus remains "our" joy!
The St. Michaelis choir is made up of singers who enjoy enriching the church services in St. Michael's with sophisticated choral music. The repertoire ranges from large-scale performances such as Mozart's "Coronation Mass" to works for smaller ensembles. Traditionally, the choir also performs some of the popular nativity services in the "Michel" in the week after Christmas.
