Presents OSTSEE-SCHÄTZE - treasures from the sea, picked up and processed by the jewelry designer and former professor at the FAK Heiligendamm. Heidi Neumayer is also a gifted photographer who has been producing her own calendars for years.
Under the motto "Art and Literature in the Dammchaussee", artists, students or professors from the former Heiligendamm College of Applied Arts (FAK) have been presenting their work in the Ehm Welk House for several years. The link between the two places is the Dammchaussee, the beautiful avenue that leads from the Ehm Welk House to Heiligendamm...
This year, OSTSEE-SCHÄTZE will be presented, treasures from the sea, collected and processed by the jewelry designer and former professor at the FAK Heidi Neumayer.
Now retired and living in Doberan, she is showing some of her jewelry objects, real treasures that she has carefully stored. Not jewelry in the conventional sense, but rather art objects made of materials, all found on the beach off Heiligendamm and turned into rarities. Stone "prehistoric witnesses", shells or amber, connected with rusty steel, decorated with pearls or combined with the extraordinary and very special bog wood, the sprock wood... Necklaces, rings, decorative objects - an almost inexhaustible variety, which is now shown in a selected collection.
Heidi Neumayer is also a gifted photographer who has been producing her own calendars with imaginative, delicate, surreal-looking motifs for years. A selection of the photographic works introduces the viewer to the fantastic visual worlds that Heidi Neumayer creates with her camera.
