Bake your own bread in the stone oven
Whether it's breakfast bread at home, lunch at school or dinner with the family, bread is one of the most important foods in our culture. But do you know how bread is made?
We will show you the way from "grain to bread". In our school garden we can look at the different types of grain and you will learn interesting facts about them and how to distinguish them. We have the necessary tools so that you can make flour from grains like in the Middle Ages. You will be amazed at how much strength and endurance you will need.
In the bakery we will make sourdough together. You have to knead properly so that your bread can grow nicely. In the preheated oven, the shaped loaves are then baked until crispy brown. After a while, a delicious smell wafts over the grounds of the Hintersten Mühle, then you can enjoy your bread fresh and warm from the oven.
