Multimedia experience with untold stories, unpublished photos & videos
The "Rock Professor" Rudi Dolezal is touring Austria with his new reading-video show "100 Years of Austropop - World Famous in Austria" and thrilling his audience with his videos, readings and many anecdotes of his work with the Austropop stars.
Dolezal establishes a new era for Austropop:
"Even before Marianne Mendt or Wolfgang Ambros, artists such as Helmut Qualtinger, Kurt Sowinetz or Hans Moser broke the taboo of singing in dialect. But for me, the true 'father of Austropop' is Johann Nestroy, who created the humus for Austropop with his popular songs."
Some of the stars will also be present at the Vienna Orpheum on 25.5: Erika Pluhar, Joesi Prokopetz, Wickerl Adam, Boris Bukowski, Rudi Nemeczek (Minisex), Daniela Flickentanz and Michael Schottenberg.
About the program:
Rudi Dolezal, who has been directing and accompanying the biggest stars of Austropop for over 40 years, presents fascinating anecdotes, unpublished videos and live concert recordings in this unique show. Artists such as Wolfgang Ambros, Wanda, Rainhard Fendrich, Christina Stürmer, Falco and many more are among his long-time companions.
The program is based on Dolezal's books "Die Geschichte des Austropop in 20 Songs" (Servus Verlag) and "Austropop - Das Buch" (Bosworth Verlag) and combines readings, free narration and videos to create an unforgettable experience. "The mix of spoken word, music and visual highlights creates a special flow that will captivate the audience!" says Rudi Dolezal about his new program.
