Theater-Museum - A place of diversity, culture and youth, all under one roof.

The renovation of the old grain mill has brought a piece of Parchim back to life. Where grain was processed until 2008, you can now experience a place of inspiration. A completely new theater building adjoins the listed, historic part of the imposing industrial building. The result is a unique combination of old and new, education and culture. The city museum shows its guests an exhibition of the city from its beginnings to the present day with numerous hands-on elements. The special exhibition area also offers plenty of space for different, changing exhibitions. The new theater stage of the Mecklenburg State Theater is not only the main venue of the Young State Theater, but will also provide a stage for other theaters in the future. The Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin, Ballett X Schwerin, the Fritz-Reuter-Bühne as well as the drama and music theater can also be found in the repertoire in Parchim. The MAHLWERK restaurant and café also caters for your physical well-being. The indoor area stands out with its open kitchen and the outdoor area entices with a wonderful view of the Elde. The town center is within walking distance, making it easy to explore the charming district town of Parchim, and the tourist information office can provide recommendations for other excursion destinations and/or regional souvenirs.
