Quite in the are the local history museum in Kirchdorf and the lighthouses in Gollwitz and Timmendorf beach. The manor house was renovated in 2011/2012 and converted into a pension with vacation apartments and double rooms.

The 80-metre-high tower of St. Mary's Church is a widely visible landmark of the Hanseatic city of Wismar. In World War II the church was severely damaged.
