Exhibitions and Galleries

The Remplin Art Chapel is located in the village of Remplin, which is steeped in history, on the Bundesstraße 104 between Teterow and Malchin.

In the Remplin Art Chapel you will find a deconsecrated chapel of Baroque style in half-timbered construction with a mansard roof and lantern from the 17th century. It was built on the foundation walls of a collapsed manor chapel from the 16th century and was conceived as a chapel within the large-scale castle ensemble. However, after its construction, it was repurposed as a storage room for agricultural equipment and as a stable. In the following years, there were uses of different kinds. In the last years of the GDR, for example, it was used as a gymnasium. After that, an antique shop established itself here. This resulted in changes to the interior, which are still visible today. In the meantime, a painting gallery of contemporary painters and a small café have moved in. Around the chapel there are sculptures, fountains and other art objects.
