With the sea almost always in plain sight, you can travel from Wismar along several beaches and the coast through the seaside villages Kühlungsborn and Heiligendamm with its impressing white architecture. Arriving at Warnemünde which is optimal located at the sea and not far away from the Hanseatic town Rostock you need to take the ferry to reach the forestsection Rostocker heide as well as the smal costal  towns. With their colorful, calm and beautiful atmosphere traditional villages like Wustrow and Ahrenshoop represend the romantic Peninsula of Fischland-Darß-Zingst.

The cycling trail is ideal for nature lovers, as it takes you through fields and small forested areas on the way, and only a few hours away are the Lake Districts and the islands of Rügen and Usedom.
