This extensive circular tour takes you out of the center of the royal seat and into the green countryside on the edge of the Müritz National Park. The hike begins at the town harbor. Here, the imposing warehouse buildings are a reminder of its former importance for the timber and grain trade. The former ducal laundry house in the style of a Chinese pavilion is a pretty eye-catcher along the riverside path. A few meters further on is the White Bridge. From here you can enjoy a sweeping view across the lake. Passing the Slavic village, a medieval adventure village where you can try out old crafts, the circular route now takes you through the Schlosskoppel, a wooded park that once belonged to the ducal estate. The lakeside path runs through the huge silting-up zone of Lake Zierk. The shoreline vegetation here is dominated by black alder and large sedge and rush species. Follow the path to the bridge over the Kammerkanal. From there, take the cobbled road to Prälank. Once in Prälank, it is worth making a short detour to the erratic boulder garden on the Buteberg. The circular route now leads along the extensive fen meadows, the Schindelwiesen, from Torwitz to Zierke. In spring, you can observe numerous animal species here, such as geese, ducks, cranes and deer. In Zierke, follow the circular route towards the lake. From the viewpoint there, you have a beautiful view of the town. Follow the lakeside path to the starting point of the hike, the town harbor.
