One of the most beautiful ways to actively experience the nature of the Mecklenburg Kleinseenplatte is to hike through the extensive forests along the many lakes. The Zilzalp circular hiking trail leads along narrow lakeside paths from lake to lake and through coniferous and mixed forests. Enjoy the silence, accompanied only by the rustling of the trees and the lovely call of the Zilzalp and its feathered companions. If you follow the trail quietly and attentively, you are sure to encounter other forest animals. In the villages of Canow, Seewalde or at the Diemitzer Schleuse lock, you can look forward to a visit to one of the many catering establishments and there are several places to rest and take a break along the entire route. You can join the circular trail at many points. We recommend Canow, Drosedow or Diemitzer Schleuse, where you can not only conveniently park your car or bike, but also get there by public transport.
