From the beach to the museum: the summer vacation workshop at the OZEANEUM invites interested people to identify beach finds.
If you walk along the beach, you will discover many different things: stones, mussel shells, seaweed and sometimes even small crabs or other animals. But broken glass, garbage and pieces of plastic are unfortunately no longer a rarity.
In the summer vacation workshop, we invite museum guests to explore and identify the most common finds from the Baltic Sea beach with us. We have magnifying glasses and binoculars in our luggage, with which we can take a close look at the treasures from the beach, such as fossils.
Meeting point: In the course room next to the penguin enclosure
Duration: freely accessible from 12 noon to 2 pm (Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer vacations in M-V)
Cost: free of charge with a valid museum ticket
Age recommendation: suitable for families without age restrictions
Further information: Registration is not required. You are welcome to bring your own small beach finds.
