The Kyiv Classic Ballet is going on its first major tour of Germany in January 2026. With an ensemble of around 30 top dancers and ballet stars Anna Reznicenko and Oleksiy Knyazkov as the dramatic lovers, the company will bring the ballet classic "Swan Lake" to the stage.

The company was founded in 2008 in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, by Tatyana Borovyk and Oksana Soloyiova as a classical, international touring ensemble. The artistic director is Tatiana Goliakova. She was a leading figure in the National Opera of Ukraine and was honored with the title of "People's Artist". Goliakova pays particular attention to the artistic heritage and the preservation of the purest form of classical ballet. Under her direction, Kyiv Classic Ballet is now an internationally renowned ballet company, appreciated for its lightness, musicality and subtle technique - reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Ukrainian classical ballet traditions. The company works with leading dancers from Ukraine (around 75% of the ensemble) and the international ballet world. The company's well-known soloists include Anna Reznicenko and Oleksiy Knyazkov, who will also enchant audiences in Germany and Switzerland as the Swan Lake couple in 2026. "Swan Lake" is one of the most famous and most frequently performed classical ballets, composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It tells the story of Princess Odette, who has been enchanted into a swan by the sorcerer Redbeard, and Prince Siegfried, who falls in love with her. A false, black swan princess ultimately leads to a dramatic final battle and the all-important question of whether true love will prevail.
