Temporary exhibition by members of the Verband Angewandte Kunst MV e.V. with guests
For the 4th time, applied art moves into the THORMANN SPEICHER in Wismar's old harbor over the summer. It has almost become something of a tradition.
On 01.05.2025, members of the Ladesverband Angewandte Kunst MV e.V. will once again open a temporary producers' gallery here together with guests.
This year, the SOMMERGALERIE will once again bring life to the time-honored giant with its industrial charm and enrich the promenade with a cultural highlight. From 01.05. to 12.10.25, objects made of glass, wood, metal and textiles, woodcuts, jewelry, photographs and ceramics will be on display where cereal was once stored.

The impressive spaces open up possibilities for new connections between past and present, between people and things. "A wonderful exhibition! The tour was a time of fascination and enthusiasm," wrote Ute U. in the guest book last year. Many artists who have been represented here in recent years will be back again to present their latest works.
For example: Sylvia Ludwig (porcelain), Anna Silberstein and Julia Marx (jewelry), Martin Schmidt (wooden objects), Susanne Wetzel (Viecheria figures), Lena Bisalski (ceramics), Barbara Wetzel (wood carvings), Julika Müller (sea symbols) and Elvira Martens (glass objects). The two new exhibitors Siegline Mix from the island of Poel (object art) and Karoline Schneider from Berlin (photography) will expand the gallery's repertoire.
You can look forward to the ENTSTEH-TISCH. It will make the creation process of individual works visible and illustrate the connection between art, craftsmanship and design.
Interested guests are welcome to attend the opening on Wednesday, 01.05.25 from 15.00. All 16 exhibiting artists will be there in person to present their exhibits and talk to visitors. Uwe Murek, saxophone, and Klaus Hammer, guitar, from Rostock will provide fresh live music. They will play compositions inspired by Spanish landscapes and free improvisations.
During the season from 02.05. to 12.10.25, the summer gallery will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00 to 18.00 hours. One of the exhibitors will always be on site.
