For the 23rd time, the Helios Hanseklinikum Stralsund is organizing a summer festival for the whole family. Attractions for the little ones from bouncy castle to horse riding, police, ambulance and fire department vehicles await you at the West Hospital. And best of all: admission is free!
The employees of the psychiatric departments at the Helios Hanseklinikum Stralsund have organized a festival for young and old with great commitment. On 26 June 2025 from 14:00 to 17:00, visitors to the West Hospital can look forward to a varied program for the whole family. Admission is free of charge.
Many attractions for children such as bouncy castle, XXL games, face painting, goal wall shooting and horse riding are on the program. The fire department, police and ambulance service will also be giving visitors a glimpse of their service vehicles. In addition, many of the hospital's cooperation partners such as Gartenhaus e.V., the contact and information center for self-help groups, the SIC, the Stralsund workshops and many more will be presenting themselves.
Food and drink will also be provided. Numerous employees from the wards and day clinics bake cakes, grill sausages on site and provide coffee, ice cream and cold drinks for little money.
The summer festival was launched at the beginning of the 2000s to reduce fear of contact with patients suffering from mental illness.
