Biography:
David Suchanek, *1984 in Prenzlau, is a graduate of the Staatliche Spezialschule für Musik "Schloss Belvedere" in Weimar. He studied organ in Lübeck, Freiburg i. Br. and Hamburg (Master of Music 2022) and church music (A-Diploma 2016) in Halle. He was particularly influenced by his teachers Prof. Sigrid Lehmstedt (piano), Prof. Martin Schmeding (organ) and Prof. Robert Hill (historical keyboard instruments). David Suchanek is a multiple national prize winner at "Jugend musiziert". In 2023, he was appointed parish and district cantor at St. Marien in Barth. There he founded a new children's choir and directs the church choir and the Barth singing group. He also conducts the annual summer concerts and gives concerts at home and abroad.
