As part of KUNST HEUTE, Künstlerhaus Lukas is showing the project straucheln und lichten. A forest experiment by Judith Zander and Sven Gatter. The exhibition combines analog color photographs and lyrical short prose from a joint stay at Günter de Bruyn's house. The opening will be accompanied by an artist talk. Moderation: Olivia Franke
As part of KUNST HEUTE, Künstlerhaus Lukas presents the interdisciplinary project stumbling and clearing. A Forest Experiment, which visualizes the collaboration between the writer Judith Zander and the photographer Sven Gatter. The exhibition shows a selection of analog color photographs and lyrical short prose that were created during a joint stay at Günter de Bruyn's former home in Brandenburg. The focus is on the forest as a space of experience - between retreat and reflection, observation of nature and cultural interpretation. While Gatter's photographs open up the lower layer of vegetation as visual-poetic terrain, Zander's texts expand this view through linguistic-acoustic excursions. An audio installation makes the texts in the exhibition audible and interweaves them with the photographic works to create a dense, atmospheric narrative. The literary-artistic collaboration will be deepened during a public reading with Judith Zander, where visitors can experience further texts from the project and engage in conversation with the author.
