Special exhibition
Ruth Klatte first spent a week in Ahrenshoop in 1948. The region stayed with her and she moved to Wieck on the Darß in 1961. As she herself wrote: "Never before had I seen the sun and moon rise like this - and the starry sky in its entirety. This was decisive for me. I wanted to paint there now."
The artist was born almost 100 years ago on July 15, 2025 in Dresden.
The special exhibition will not only show the 45 works from the museum's collection. Many regional private lenders are also supporting the exhibition with works.
