Guided tours of buildings and exhibition areas in the Schwerin-Mueß open-air museum at no extra charge.
The Schwerin-Mueß Open-Air Museum of Folklore has something to offer both those interested in history and culture as well as nature lovers. Almost all the buildings belonged to the former village center of Mueß. They contain several exhibitions that show the everyday life of our ancestors in Mecklenburg. The attractive location on the southern shore of Lake Schwerin adds to this.
On three Sundays in June, the Schwerin-Mueß Open-Air Museum invites visitors to take part in public guided tours of the farmhouse, Büdnerei and shepherd's cottages . Interested visitors can take part without registration and at no extra cost. You pay no more than the museum entrance fee. Anyone wishing to make a donation will be supporting the museum's educational work. The tours start at 11 a.m. at the museum entrance.
Dates for public tours with Jürgen Prestin are: June 8, 15 and 22.
The museum café with terrace offers snacks, ice cream, coffee and cake. It is open from 11 am to 5 pm.
