Welcome to Illyria - where men are women, women love men, and nobody really knows who is who anymore. A shipwreck? Sure. A tragic separation of twins? Of course.
And what do you do when you're stranded and alone? Exactly - you disguise yourself as a man and go into the service of a duke in love. Viola, alias Cesario, is supposed to proclaim his love to the proud Countess Olivia, but it's a shame that Olivia promptly falls for the handsome "messenger". The duke, in turn, begins to take a strange liking to his "confidante". And while feelings are running high, a cunning jester is up to mischief, a conceited steward is being bamboozled and Viola's brother, who was thought to be dead, suddenly reappears. A humorous love chaos without equal - full of witty twists and turns, unpredictable entanglements that ensure good humor and suspense.
