First we draw pencil sketches of the head, then individual details, e.g. eyes, nose or mouth. We look at focal points such as wrinkles, beard or hair. How can I draw this? Even drawing glasses is no problem if you know what to look out for. Have courage! Get started!
I give you the opportunity to learn the basics of portrait drawing.
In this structured course, I will provide you with everything you need to draw a portrait of your choice in an expressive way. I will show you tricks and tips to help you achieve a realistic result.
It all starts with the anatomy. The proportions of a head are considered. A model skull helps us with this.

You are welcome to bring photos (printouts on A4 in black and white) of people's faces. We will work with these.
The first two photos you see (Marylin Monroe and myself as a teenager) are from my childhood. They are about 35 years old. Between these and the portraits of the older lady, myself, boy in acrylic, boy with white chalk, there are years of practice and diligence. The other two were painted by students from one of my courses. They were beginners!!!
For the first appointment, A4 drawing paper, pencils in various degrees of hardness and erasers are sufficient. Hardness, and eraser.
