An exhibition in memory of the Waren ceramic designer Franz Poppe
The artist, who died in June, left many traces in his city. One of the best-known works and now a landmark is the ball fountain on Neuer Markt.
Other works of art with which Franz Poppe helped to shape and characterize Waren and the surrounding area are also commemorated. His commitment to the old town, which was threatened by decay, is honored, as is his political commitment in the days of the Peaceful Revolution in Waren.
In addition to the exhibition, a renewal of the ball fountain on the market square is planned - some of the missing balls will be replaced. Before they are installed, the balls are given their unique glaze in a raku firing.

End of the season in the tile pottery on the Teschenberg, 1 - 6 pm
3 pm - Raku firing of the fountain balls
