The artists, who live in Mecklenburg, are dedicated to the vulnerability of nature.
They draw attention to their inherent beauty as well as to their endangerment.
Monika Lawrenz quietly observes and photographs moments that she finds in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Harz Mountains, Switzerland and Iceland. Her photographs tell of the seemingly endless cycles of life, even in the fleeting. Reduced in color or dissolving the lines in haze and atmosphere, the works show their special proximity to artistic graphics. Anke Bastrop speaks to the photographs in her texts and poems. Be it the cranes in the winter night or the peat extraction area as a wound - the pictures and texts in the exhibition touch on our inner meaning and reveal a field of tension between what is lost and what cannot be lost.
