by Christiane Behrend in the town hall
The hobby artist grew up in Wittenburg. Her father and grandfather were both master painters and also painted a few pictures back then. Ms. Brehrend's love of painting and colors was instilled in her as a child. She recounts: "I earned my first money by painting simple wall hangings and handkerchief containers".
Several years of silk painting and attending a painting school with the artist Dankmar Keller rounded off various techniques, such as oil painting, graphite technique and painting with chalk.
Since 2013 there have been various exhibitions in the district of LUP and in MV. She takes part in various competitions every year, for example at Timmendorfer Strand.
Her works are now on display in the atrium and corridors during the town hall's opening hours until May 6. Anyone interested can contact the town library to take a look at the price list.
