A mayfly hatches on a water lily leaf. The fox and wild boar are watching it. And while the two think sorrowfully of the delicate creature's imminent end of life, the extremely charming mayfly is already standing in front of them and wants to know why they are so sad. Instead of telling her the truth, they claim that the fox only has one day to live. Deeply moved, the little fly immediately knows what to do: together they want to give Fox all the happiness in life for this one day! But what does happiness consist of and what is a must-have experience? Off they go on an eventful one-day journey through life.
