Literary declarations of love & book recommendations
Books can do more than just protect your face from UV light. But which ones have what it takes to keep us awake and make us see the world through different eyes? The "Mixed Double" dives enthusiastically and heartily through the book riffs of the season and fishes out the gems among the novels and non-fiction books.
These book recommendations are best enjoyed in a summer atmosphere: Former NDR radio editor Annemarie Stoltenberg and Rainer Moritz, just director of the Literaturhaus Hamburg and still a literary critic, present their new favorite books as a "mixed double" in the Rostock monastery garden, humorously and entertainingly passing the balls - no, the pearls - to each other.
