Performance after Oskar Schlemmer
T. Lux was already involved in the Bauhaus at the age of 16, particularly in the stage workshop. With his youthful imagination, he created expressive masks that were used in the performances of the Bauhaus stage. Alongside the famous Triadic Ballet by Oskar Schlemmer, his "Maskenchor" (Masked Chorus) moved people's minds because here the "elemental" emerged in a different, more playfully evoked way. In this mystical, touching performance, archaic human motifs were brought to bear in both staged and spontaneous ways in the physiognomic, acoustic and pantomime elements.
Enthusiasts from the Kunstmuseum and the Förderverein took up the idea of the masked choir and developed their own performance from it.
