Laura Folkers fuses pop with jazz and folk elements and combines expressive harmonies with accentuated rhythms. She performs the whole thing with her extraordinary voice, sometimes narrative, sometimes floating spherically. A typical feature is her performance with her nylon acoustic guitar, which is the source of most of her song ideas. In her intimate and lively songs, Laura Folkers processes very personal experiences, thoughts and observations and you can hear melancholy, curiosity and joy in them. The songs are complemented by Anton Thelemann on his self-assembled set of various percussion instruments.
Laura is the winner of the Landesrockfestival 2023 MV.
