Haydn - Brahms - Britten - Saunders
Three days - three string quartets: the renowned Kuss Quartet has invited two up-and-coming ensembles and other musical friends to make music together, try out new ideas and take a closer look at one or two masterpieces in front of an audience. An entertaining and intense musical experience is guaranteed!
The first day of Inselmusik ends with great chamber music, when the Chaos String Quartet meets the Barbican Quartet in the Putbusser Marstall and, with the support of violist William Coleman and cellist Mikayel Hakhnazaryan, embarks on a brilliant finale with Brahms Sextet No. 2. In addition to this romantic masterpiece of chamber music, other works by Haydn, Saunders and Britten will also be performed.
