String quartet meets recorder
Three days - three string quartets: the renowned Kuss Quartet has invited two up-and-coming ensembles and other musical friends to make music together, try out new ideas and take a closer look at one or two masterpieces in front of an audience. An entertaining and intense musical experience is guaranteed!
A chamber music evening in a class of its own: the Kuss Quartet and recorder player Maurice Steger conclude the second day of this year's Inselmusik at the Haus des Gastes in Baabe, located close to the Baltic Sea beach. The program includes a varied selection of works from different eras and countries. While early music virtuoso Maurice Steger supports the quartet, which has been playing together in this formation for 16 years, in his very own interpretation of Vivaldi's flute concerto, he in turn also puts his instrument in the spotlight as a soloist with Van Eyck's "Engels Nachtegaeltje" ("English Nightingale").
