EXHIBITION SERIES ON A SMALL SCALE
The tisch - café, coworking space and event area in Schwerin - has been showing the exhibition series IM KLEINEN RAHMEN since March 2025. Visitors to the café are greeted by contemporary art on a wall area of over six meters as they enter. At a time when encountering and engaging with art seems essential and deserves a special place in our daily lives, the tisch creates a place where art meets everyday life, color values enrich the coffee, plays of form inspire work and artistic intentions flow into conversations. Every visit is a personal gain.
The exhibition series IM KLEINEN RAHMEN was initiated by art historian and curator Annekathrin Siems and illustrator and art director Karen Obenauf.
The third exhibition in the IM KLEINEN RAHMEN series shows works by the artist Moritz Wippermann. Whether painting, graphics or sculpture, Moritz Wippermann's art is characterized by a wide-ranging approach in terms of content and craftsmanship. From linocuts and oil pastels to sculptures from the 3D printer and drawings with the Adobe Fresco app on the iPad, he creates still lifes, portraits, landscapes, fantasy creatures and objects. "With my work, I want to convey groundless beauty. When I stop searching for meaning and dissecting things for a moment and concentrate on how things present themselves, I can find beauty in them. In this I have found a way to enjoy reality."
For the moment, neglect the search for meaning and instead look for beauty IN THE SMALL FRAME OF THE TABLE.
MORITZ WIPPERMANN
STATEMENT
"The ability to put what you see on paper expands your perception. If, when looking at things, you ask yourself how you would paint them, they become all the more interesting and therefore more beautiful. This beauty is gratuitous and needs no meaning. You can stop asking why and enjoy the how instead. A joy that makes reality more pleasant - that's what drives me. That, and the fact that this joy can be transferred to those who look at my pictures."
