A hike to old oak trees and modern agriculture, approx. 5 km
Mecklenburg Switzerland is a landscape with history and culture: shaped by the Ice Age, the work of our ancestors and modern agriculture and forestry. On a 5-kilometre hike between Görzhausen, Barz and Röthelberg, we explore which contemporary witnesses from the various eras can still be found today, how they interact and which animal and plant species live here today. Kristin Zscheile from the nature park and farmer Georg von der Goltz want to work with guests to sharpen their senses to the wealth of species and diversity that is possible in the modern agricultural landscape and how environmentally friendly farming should be practiced in the future. The meeting point is the hiking rest area in Görzhausen.
