On October 31, Stralsund Zoo will be full of excitement - Halloween is just around the corner! The whole zoo will be transformed into a fantastically spooky world, promising lots of fun and adventure for the whole family. Preparations are already in full swing weeks in advance: the zookeepers decorate the zoo with countless scary decorations to make Halloween really spooky! There are once again great figures to discover along the spectacular spooky trail - who dares to look for Jack the Ripper from last year? Or is someone completely new waiting for you this time?
Colorful pumpkins, lovingly painted and carved by the children of Karten Sarnow Primary School, can be seen all over the zoo.
The fun starts at 1:30 p.m. with the last animal show of the year - you'll be surprised which animals will be performing their tricks this time! From 4:00 p.m., the atmosphere on the festival meadow gets even better with cool music before the highlight of the evening begins at 7:00 p.m. - a magical show with firelight that bathes the zoo in a magical sea of lights.
There are scary but also exciting activities for little adventurers throughout the zoo: the Stralsund City Guard has set up camp at the Mahnke Mill - who dares to visit the guards? You can bake crispy stick bread and warm up at the fire bowls. There are also cool photo stations where you can have your picture taken with real owls in the Göpel Barn or with snakes and cockroaches in the South America House - pure thrills! And if you fancy a bit of glitter, you can get sparkling glitter tattoos at the deer enclosure.
All those who come in costume are particularly welcome guests at the zoo and make sure it's really spooky.
